Web Developer Toolbar/Menu for Mozilla and Firebird
Steve Rittler, Philly CFUG manager pointed me to a fantastic Firebird extension today. I used to have something similar for IE, and have been really missing it since I made the switch to Firebird - until now! Here's a rundown of some of the features:
I've been a big fan of Mozilla for a long time now (I was always a Netscape over IE pundit). Anyhow, one of my biggest disappointments with Mozilla after having to use IE for a year (corporate standard) was the lack of a Google Toolbar (it's IE only). I use Google all the time, and got a ton of use out of it.
Anyhow, just out of curiosity, I decided to ckeck yesterday to see if Google had made one available yet. Instead of going directly to the Google Tool Bar page, I entered it as a search term in Google. Wouldn't you know it, the fourth search result was for an open source project called GoogleBar, a version of the Google Toolbar for Mozilla.
I'm still not sure why Google hasn't just released one themselves, but until they do, I'm sticking with GoogleBar. It doesn't have all of the features of the original, but it does have the ones I tended to use the most.
